Revised Tournament schedule

Ogden, UT – The Weber State volleyball team will kick off its 2010 spring schedule this Saturday, March 13 with a home tournament at the Swenson Gym.  The Wildcats will host four other teams in the tournament, the first of three tournaments for the 'Cats this spring season. 

Weber State will welcome Montana, College of Eastern Utah, Snow College, and Yavapai College to the Swenson Gym.  Admission is free to the public.  Click here for a tournament schedule. 

The matches will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude with the last match at 2:00 p.m.  There will be two courts used with two matches being played at the same time.  All matches will be best of three sets. 

The Wildcats will also participate in spring tournaments April 3 at the University of Utah and April 10 at Utah Valley. 

Weber State is coming off an 8-21 overall record in 2009.  The Wildcats were 5-11 in Big Sky Conference action, finishing in a tie for seventh in the league standings.  Weber State missed qualifying for the Big Sky Conference Tournament for the first time in five seasons.  Weber State had five seniors on last year’s squad but will have ten players returning for the 2010 season.  Head Coach Al Givens returns for his 18th season as head coach of the Wildcats.
