KAYSVILLE, Utah -- The Weber State women's golf team shot a total of 305 to successfully defend its title at the Weber State Invitational on Friday at Davis Park Golf Course.
The Wildcats finished five players inside the top seven, led by junior Brittany Roberts, who earned the individual medalist honors playing as an individual. Junior Natalie Weber and sophomores Kelsey Adams and Emily Copier all finished in a four-way tie for second place with Brigham Young's Camille Gardner with 75's.
Roberts, from Bonneville High School, went out in 35 and closed with a 37 for her tournament-winning 72 on the 6,103-yard, par-71 layout.
Abbie Archibald of Utah Valley and WSU freshman Jordan Ulibarri each shot 76 to tie for sixth.
Utah Valley finished second in the team standings with a 311, followed by Southern Utah at 322 and Idaho State at 325.
Rounding out the Wildcats' scoring team were senior Amanda Case and sophomore Stacey Parkinson, who finished in a tie for 13th with 80's.
