OGDEN, Utah -- The Weber State women's volleyball program will be sponsoring a 5K run on April 26 to raise funds to help sophomore setter Kim Lissinna.
Kim recently underwent Spinal Tap and MRI testing for Multiple Sclerosis. As an international student, her family incurred several thousands of dollars in medical expenses.
All proceeds from the race will be used to help Kim with these expenses. Any funds left over will be donated to the Utah Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The run will begin -- and finish -- at the Stromberg P.E. Complex Indoor Track on the WSU campus. Start time is set for 8:30 a.m. Registration for the event is $20 for those pre-registering, and $30 for walk-up registrants. Walk-up registration begins at 8:00 a.m.
The first 60 registrants will receive a T-shirt, and prizes will be given to the top three finishers in both the men's and women's divisions.
