OGDEN – Despite running just one race in the last 10 months, Jamie Stokes is picking things up right where she left off.
Stokes was named Big Sky Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week on Monday after running a league-best 4:16.90 in the 1,500 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California over the weekend.
Stokes' time is currently 17th in the nation and 11th in the west region.
The time was less than second off the Weber State school record, and comes just one week after Stokes ran her first official collegiate race since June of 2016.
Weber State will be back in action on April 28 at the Robinson Invitational, hosted by BYU, in Provo.
