OGDEN, Utah – After helping the Weber State University men’s track and field team to the team title at the Hornet Invitational in Sacramento, Calif., over the weekend, freshman Luca Sinn has been named the Big Sky Conference men’s track Athlete of the Week.

Sinn, from Vienna, Austria, took first place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Sacramento State Hornet Invitational with a time of 8:57.41. That time currently sits third nationally on the young season. Sinn helped the Wildcats claim the title in team scoring at the meet in Sacramento, edging Cal 166-164 on the final event. Sinn ran a leg for WSU’s all-conference distance medley relay team last month indoors and was also 20th for the Wildcats at the Big Sky Cross Country Championships.
