OGDEN, Utah – For the second time this season, sophomore forward Mackenzie Harrison has been named as the Big Sky Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week.
Harrison, who shares this week’s honor with Northern Colorado’s Juliana Grover, scored two goals, recording four points, on seven shots as Weber State went unbeaten on the road last weekend to secure a Big Sky Conference tournament berth.
Harrison scored the match-equalizer, helping Weber State rally from a 1-0 deficit for a critical 1-1 draw at Northern Colorado on Friday, and then scored the match-winner in a 3-0 victory over North Dakota on Sunday.
Harrison, a native of Kaysville, Utah, is the Big Sky’s co-points leader after the nine-match conference season, recording six goals and an assist during league play. Harrison has scored four goals in the Wildcats’ last three matches, and has a league-high nine goals overall this season.
Northern Arizona’s Lauren Weaver has been named the Defensive Player of the Week.
Weber State will be back in action in the Big Sky Conference tournament semifinals on Nov. 7, where it will face Northern Arizona for the right to advance to the tournament championship match against either Portland State or Northern Colorado.
