The Weber State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is participating in a Big Sky Conference school supply drive competition over the next two weeks. The committee is encouraging Wildcat fans to donate new school supplies of any kind at WSU home athletic events between October 31st and November 9th.
All school supplies and cash donations will benefit the local United Way and the Boys and Girls Club.
Each Big Sky Conference institution will be competing to see who can collect the most school supplies to donate back to their community.
SAAC members will collect donations at the following home events:
Thursday, October 31: Women’s Basketball vs. Adams State, 7 p.m.
Friday, November 1: Volleyball vs. Northern Colorado, 7 p.m.
Saturday, November 2: Volleyball vs. North Dakota, 7 p.m.
Saturday, November 2: Men’s Basketball vs. Adams State, 7 p.m.
Friday, November 8: Women’s Basketball vs. Walla Walla, 3 p.m.
Saturday, November 9: Football vs. Southern Utah, 1 p.m.
Those fans who donate brand new school supplies at the volleyball games on Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 and the football game on Nov. 9 will receive complimentary admission to those events.
Items can also be delivered to the WSU Athletic Department offices located on the second floor of Stewart Stadium. Items for donations include crayons, markers, pens, highlighters, notebooks, binders, books, backpacks, paint, scissors, glue, paper, construction paper, etc. Cash donations are also welcome.
