WSU partners with KLO AM/FM for radio broadcasts

OGDEN -- Weber State University Athletics has announced a multi-year partnership with KLO AM/FM radio to broadcast Wildcat football and men’s basketball games.

KLO be the exclusive radio home for the Wildcats and will air all football and men’s basketball games live. All games will be simulcast on 1430 AM and 103.1 FM and will also be heard online at kloradio.com. KLO has been the home of Weber State Athletics for many years in the past.

“We are very excited to return to KLO as the radio home for Wildcat Athletics,” said Jerry Bovee, WSU Director of Athletics. “KLO will provide us with a consistent radio home and the opportunity to simulcast on AM and FM which will be great exposure for our programs. Weber State has a long history with KLO and we look forward to renewing this partnership.”

Longtime play-by-play voice of the Wildcats Carl Arky will continue to broadcast all Weber State football and men’s basketball home and away games. Arky is entering his 15th season as the voice of the Wildcats and was named the 2011 Utah Sportscaster of the Year.

A pre and post-game show will continue to be a part of every WSU game broadcast.

“Weber State University Athletics is important to Utah and we look forward to this association,” said John Webb, President and General Manager of KLO AM/FM.

KLO has a long history in the Ogden area. It is one of the oldest stations in the West and began broadcasting in 1924 in Ogden. Since 2008 it has been broadcasting from its new studios in downtown Salt Lake City. KLO serves the entire Wasatch Front and boosts one of the strongest signals in the state.
