The Weber State football team held a football camp for the HopeKids organization Saturday morning at Stewart Stadium.
More than 150 kids and family members attended the camp as did several members of the WSU football team. The Wildcat players and coaches led the kids in several football drills and taught them the basics of the game.
“This was such an awesome day for us to be involved with the HopeKids,” said WSU head coach Jody Sears. “We were so happy to provide an opportunity for these kids and their families to be involved in a football camp. It’s also great for our players and coaches to give back to the community and learn what it means to serve. We had a blast with them.”
HopeKids is a national organization that provides ongoing events and activities and a powerful, unique support community for families who have a child with cancer or some other life-threatening medical condition. The foundation surrounds these remarkable children and their families with the message that hope can be a powerful medicine.
