After two seasons with the Wildcats, Joel has played in 67 career games. He was named the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year in 2014 and earned All-Conference honors. Keller Central High School Was highly recruited out of high school and signed with Weber State in the fall of 2011..Graduated from Keller Central High School in 2012 where he played for coach Kit Pehl...As a junior in 2010-11 he averaged 9.9 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game...As a senior in 2011-12 he averaged 17.8 points and 12.9 rebounds per game in leading the Chargers to a 27-8 overall record and a 13-1 league record...Scored in double figures in all but four games as a senior and scored 20 or more points 13 times...Shot 67 percent from the field...Was named District Champion, Team MVP, and Defensive Player of the Year...He led the state 5A in scoring and rebounding and earned First Team All-State honors.
