Weber State’s C.J. Tuckett has been named the Utah National Guard Weber State Solider of the Month for the month of October.

In the three games during the month of October Tuckett ran for 252 yards and three touchdowns.  The senior from Malta, Idaho had 56 carries and averaged 84 yards per game.  He also had 13 receptions for 72 yards.  

Tuckett rushed for 98 yards and one touchdown and had 56 receiving yards against Cal Poly.  He followed that up with 64 rushing yards and one touchdown at Sacramento State and finished the month with 90 rushing yards and one touchdown in helping the Wildcats get their first win of the season Oct. 20 at Southern Utah.    

With one game left in the season Tuckett ranks 20th in Weber State history in career rushing yards with 1,344 career yards and 16 rushing touchdowns.  

At the end of each football and men’s basketball home game this season Weber State will name a Utah National Guard Solider of the Game, recognizing those student-athletes who stand above the rest in their performance in helping the team.  The Utah National Guard Solider is a student-athlete who is a team player and has demonstrated selfless play and integrity on and off the field.  At the end of each month a Solider of the Month will be named.
