CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Weber State women's golf saw three players earn All-American Scholar honors recently as the National Golf Coaches Association released its national awards.
Junior Kelsey Chugg and redshirt-freshmen Alli Cluff and Courtney Smith-Saffell each earned the honor, which carries some of the most stringent qualifying criteria in college athletics. To earn the award, student-athletes must carry a minimum 3.5 GPA.
"I'm very proud of the hard work that our team put into the classroom this year," said WSU Director of Golf Jeff Smith. "It's very gratifying to see players be rewarded for their academic efforts."
Chugg, a Technical Sales major, and Cluff, a Math Teaching major, each posted a perfect 4.0 GPA last year.
