BOISE, Idaho - The Weber State University softball team earned a two-game split during the second day of action at the SpringHill Suites Invitational.

Both games turned into pitchers duels, with Weber State rallying for a 2-1 over the University of Texas-San Antonio in the first game of the day, before falling 2-1 to host Boise State in the second game at Mountain Cove Field.

Senior right hander Sarah Clark earned her eighth win of the season on the mound in the first game of the day, rallying from giving up a solo home run to the game's leadoff batter, to hold the Roadrunners scoreless the rest of the way as she scattered six hits and had four strikeouts.

The Springville, Utah-native also brought in the game-winning score on an RBI double in the sixth inning, one of two extra base hits she had in the game.

Freshman Kortney Law tied the game up in the fifth as she scored on an error by the UTSA catcher.

In the second game of the day, freshman right hander Morgan Allaband kept a shutout until the sixth inning, when Boise State hit back-to-back solo home runs to take a 2-0 lead. Allaband gave up just three hits during the game until the Broncos' late fireworks.

Weber State freshman catcher Janel Cunningham hit a long distance solo shot of her own to make it 2-1 in the seventh, but the Broncos were able get the final two outs to close out the game.

The Wildcats (10-15) will wrap up their third day at the SpringHill Suites Invitational on Sunday, taking on New Mexico at 12 p.m. and then facing a rematch with the Broncos at 2 p.m.
