Tom Shurtliff is in his 21st season as Head Equipment Manager at Weber State. He oversees equipment needs for all 16 of Weber State’s intercollegiate sports. He began at Weber State in January 1992.
Shurtliff follows in the footsteps of his father-in-law Ron Flygare, who served for over 30 years in the same capacity.
A native of Ogden Shurtliff graduated from Ogden High School. He spent 17 years working for Steiner’s American Linen before assuming his current role at Weber State.
Shurtliff is a Certified Member of the Athletic Equipment Manager’s Association.
Married to the former Ronda Flygare, he is the father of three daughters, Sarah, Kellie and Stephanie. He is grandfather to five: Kendrick, Mickell, Saraih, Kyson, and Kempton.
