GOODYEAR, Ariz. — The Weber State women's golf team wrapped up the Bobcat Desert Invitational on Tuesday at the Golf Club of Estrella, posting a three-round total of 841 for a 10th place finish.
The Wildcats opened the tournament with a round of 311, and added a pair of 315's over the final two rounds.
Kaceelyn Pouttu shot rounds of 79, 75 and 75 for a 13-over-par 229 and a 23rd place finish on the individual leaderboard to lead Weber State.
Cal Poly shot 878 to earn the team title. The Mustangs finished 15 shots ahead of second place Portland State. Cal Poly was led by individual medalist Sophie Bergland, who shot a four-under-par total of 212. Bergland was the lone player in the field to finish in red figures. Portland State's Tara Finigan and Cal Poly's Desiree Gillaspy tied for second at 218.
Sierra Harr shot 236 for Weber State, earning a 34th place finish. Xena Motes tied for 42nd with a total of 239, while Haylee Chugg shot 240 to tie for 48th and Michelle Tierney shot 246 to tie for 61st.
