OGDEN – It was a disappointing day at the office, but the Wildcats will look to quickly put it behind them.

Hosting in-state rival Utah State on Wednesday afternoon at Wildcat Softball Complex, the Weber State University softball team saw its 14-game home winning streak end with a 5-0 loss to the Aggies.

Weber State dropped to 24-14-1 overall with the loss, while Utah State improved to 28-10. The Wildcats (8-3 Big Sky) return to league play on Friday against Idaho State in Pocatello, Idaho. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. at Miller Ranch Stadium.

Against the Aggies, the Wildcats were limited to pair of singles, one each from senior first baseman Sara Hingsberger and senior third baseman KyRae Kogianes.

Utah State scored three runs in the top of the third, and added solo runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
