    The Weber State football teams plays its home opener this Saturday night and you won’t want to miss any of the action.  The Wildcats host 19th ranked McNeese State Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Stewart Stadium and there are lots of promotions and offers for fans to attend.

    It’s the annual Blackout Game where all fans are encouraged to wear black.  In addition, 5,000 Blackout T-shirts will be distributed to fans attending the game, courtesy of America First Credit Union.   
    Fans can also receive four complimentary tickets to the game by showing their America First Credit Union credit or debit card at the WSU Ticket Office.  It’s also WFFL Day where each player and coach can get complimentary tickets to the game courtesy of Coca-Cola.

    Plus, don’t miss the unveiling of the new Waldo mascot.  Waldo will have a new look and will be unveiled prior to kickoff.  

    New this year for all home games will be the Wildcat Walk, which will take place two hours prior to kickoff.  WSU players and coaches will walk from lower campus up to the stadium.  An increased tailgating area will begin three hours prior to kickoff north of the stadium.  In addition, Football Friday’s will kickoff this week with a pep rally Friday night at 6:00 p.m. at the Junction in downtown Ogden.
