Lindsey Palmer-de Leon begins her fourth season with Weber State after joining the staff as the Wildcats' pitching coach during the summer of 2013. Her responsibilities with the Wildcats include running everyday practices with the team and pitching instruction. She will also work closely with camps and clinics organization.
Under Palmer-de Leon's guidance, RHP MaCauley Flint twice earned First Team All-Big Sky Conference honors and was named the Big Sky Conference Tournament MVP, while also finished as the school's career strikeout leader. Palmer-de Leon has also tutored two other pitchers that have earned All-Big Sky honors, with one also going on to earn NFCA All-Midwest Region honors in 2014. RHP Kirtlyn Bohling earned First Team All-Big Sky Conference honors and recorded a school-record 19 wins and four shutouts in 2016.
Coach Palmer-de Leon graduated from the University of Utah in 2010 with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science after playing collegiately for two years at Utah and for two years at Salt Lake Community College.
Palmer-de Leon is a 2006 graduate of Tooele High School, where she won three state softball championships, and was a three-time state Most Valuable Player, four-time First Team All-State player, and was named the Utah Gatorade Player of the Year in her senior season of high school.
In her career at SLCC she was First Team All-Conference as a freshman and First Team All-Conference, Scenic West Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year, First Team NJCAA All-American, Third Team Easton All-American, and received the Betty Jo Graber National Female College Athlete of the Year award.
Palmer-de Leon is currently attending Weber State University seeking a second degree, this time in Spanish Teaching. She married Sergio de Leon during the summer of 2016.
