Kayla Morgan is in her third season as an assistant coach with the Weber State volleyball program. She joined the Wildcats in February 2015 with new head coach Jeremiah Larsen.
Morgan, a native of nearby Kaysville, Utah, comes to Weber State after most recently coaching with Club Utah, working with several different age groups.
She coached for a season as the head coach of Westlake High School in Saratoga Springs, Utah, before continuing her playing career with the Utah Unity of the Premier Volleyball League, and then earning a chance to play professionally for Pislaploki in Finland.
As a player, Morgan played four years of collegiate volleyball, including her junior and senior seasons at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where she earned All-Mountain West Conference honors both years. She played her freshman and sophomore seasons at Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif., and earned All-West Coast Conference honors both years. She was also a PrepVolleyball.com All-American as a senior at Davis High School in Kaysville.
Morgan graduated from BYU in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education.
