2017 Alumni Classic

Victoria “Vicky” Galasso joins the Wildcat coaching staff after an award-winning playing career as a catcher and power hitter at Idaho State University, where she was a two-time Big Sky Conference Player of the Year and a three-time NFCA All-Region honoree.

Coach Galasso is the first Big Sky Conference player to play professionally in the National Pro Fastpitch League, where she now plays for the Dallas Charge. As a rookie in the NPF in 2015, Galasso played for the Chicago Bandits and was a member of the Bandits’ league championship team.

“Coach Galasso brings great playing experience and background from the Big Sky Conference and the National Pro Fastpitch League," Amicone said. "She also has strong ties to the state of California and will assist us in continuing to bring high level recruits to Weber State.  She will work closely with our pitchers and catchers defensively as well as assisting our hitters. Vicky is a tremendous catcher and hitter and we look forward to putting that experience to work.”

Galasso graduated from Idaho State University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, and worked as a strength coach for a year.
